The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board opened their Sept. 12 meeting by being serenaded Pueblo Elementary School’s Mariachi Band and 5th grade guitar class.
District spokeswoman Kristine Harrington also recognized student ambassadors from Pueblo and Saguaro High School as well as Saguaro Assistant Principal Daniel Milligan, Pueblo Principal Shelley Hummon and Pueblo Music Teacher Christi Bandelin for their participation in showing judges around as the district is in the running for a Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Sterling Award for excellence, innovation and community stewardship.
Student ambassadors from Pueblo were Cadence Andrew, Izzy Kory, Charlie Madden, Kaden Quigley, Huxley Talcott, Caiden Thompson and Kalee Yerkes. Student ambassadors from Saguaro were Kate Dalton, Eric Morgan, Delia Riley, Nikhil Sethi and Alex Stephenson
