Sponsors for JAAM Classic360 Golf Tournament announced

Adaptive golf offered before Phoenix Open

Nothing But NET, a Valley-based information technology company, will be the presenting sponsor of the 2023 JAAM Classic360 Golf Tournament at TPC Scottsdale on Jan. 20, 2023.

The JAAM Foundation is a collaborative partner with the Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center, providing adaptive sports equipment to junior athletes in the Phoenix area and helping fund youth sports programs and services.

Both organizations believe that sports make youth more determined, more powerful, more themselves, according to a press release. Sports have the power to change the world, pushing people further and bringing people closer. Sports shift the narrative from disabled to this abled. Ability360 and JAAM use sports to push what’s possible so everyone, regardless of ability, has equal access to sports and recreation in their community.

Additionally, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Lovitt & Touché, a Marsh McLennan Agency, are “For the Kids” level sponsors of the event. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting Liz Williams, co-founder and executive director of JAAM Foundation, at pjevan.williams@gmail.com or Meghan Fable, Ability360 director of development, at meghanf@ability360.org.

“We are incredibly excited to be the presenting sponsor of the JAAM Classic360 Golf Tournament and to be part of a tremendous effort to ensure that children and young people of all ages have access to the equipment and programs they need to participate in these vitally important youth sports,” Bob Cox, president of Nothing But NET, said in the release.

The tournament, which lets golfers experience the same course that will host the best professional golfers in the world for WM Phoenix Open, is limited to 104 golfers for the 11 a.m. shotgun start. Foursomes are still available as well.

“Research has found that participating in adaptive sports provides many benefits for athletes, including a social support system, increased self-confidence and a peer education system,” Williams said in the release. “All of these lead to helping the athletes identify necessary resources to gain higher education, employment and mentorship. We have seen this proven time and again here in Arizona and around the world. Our goal is to help young adaptive athletes in Arizona recognize their potential and help them achieve their goals, in sport and in life.”
