Thank you for calling ABC Realty.

For English, press 1.

For Spanish, press 2.

If you’re a Californian, press 3 for an expedited response. We understand why you want to move here.

If you’ve just arrived here and should be quarantined, please call back in 14 days.

If you’re calling about selling your house, press 1.

If you’re calling about buying a home, press 2.

If you think your home, that is in disrepair and has never been remodeled, is special, and worth much more than your neighbors, press 3.

If you have a basic understanding of the Law of Supply and Demand, press 4.

If you’re behind in your mortgage payments, press 5.

If you believe that great real estate agents are of no value, please hang up now. You’re wasting our time.

If you’d like to leave a message, please press zero and dial the agent’s 18-digit directory code. If you don’t know their 18-digit extension number, please scroll through our directory of 5,000 agents.

Are you still there? Would you like to hear your options again? If so, please press 8.

I’m sorry, pressing the 9-key over and over doesn’t register with our system. Goodbye.

What ever happened to good old-fashioned, tried and true, one-on-one customer service?

When there are so many opportunities and some fantastic choices out there, why would anyone settle for less than extraordinary one-on-one customer service?

Whether you’re doing business on big or small ticket items, whether it’s a house, a car, or a just a new ball point pen; do business with people and firms who treat you special.

Physician, poet and author Oliver Wendall Holmes, Sr. (1809-1894) said “It is the province of knowledge to speak, and it is the privilege of wisdom to listen.”

Look for the listeners. Take the time to find them in this crowded and impersonal world.

They’re the wisdom keepers who bring value to our lives.

As I have often said, “There’s always a reason why you meet people. Either you need them to change your life or you’re the one who will change theirs.”
