Shapiro: Korte has what it takes to lead Scottsdale

Posted

The field of candidates for Scottsdale mayor is crowded. Each of them believes they are your best choice.

So, how do you evaluate your choices to make the best possible decision if you don’t know the candidate on a personal basis?

I’ve known most of them for a long time. Excuse me for trying to influence your personal decision, but it’s critically important for Scottsdale to elect a great mayor and my perspective may be valuable.

These are challenging times, although we have had challenges in the past.

That’s why leadership is so important.

I believe we need to elect a mayor who will instill confidence in our government and our city. We need to be able to rely on that person.

Our mayor needs to exhibit leadership with a conscience. Actions taken leading us must make us proud.

The mayor needs wisdom from previous experiences and the knowledge to make good judgments.

I believe our mayor needs to be an emphatic listener taking into account what our community is saying.

An awesome mayor is organized to be able to deal with all of the complexities efficiently.

Our mayor needs to be capable of high energy in both physical and mental powers.

A successful mayor needs the skill and ability to do things well.

An effective mayor will be successful in producing desired and intended results and will have a cohesive impact.

I’ve known and worked with Virginia Korte for decades on various education projects, business development efforts, social service needs for our city, preservation initiatives plus bond and override elections to enhance our community.

Please accept my invitation to support and vote for Virginia Korte to be our next mayor. She has what it takes.
