Fiesta Bowl Charities granted the wish of 500 teachers for $2,500 each during the Palo Verde Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers Draft Day presented by SRP. This year’s recipients include seven teachers in Scottsdale.
The Scottsdale recipients and their wishes are:
• Sandy Brown, a kindergarten to sixth grade STEAM teacher at Sandpiper Elementary in Scottsdale, will purchase robots for her STEAM lessons.
• Fred Kass, a fourth to fifth grade special education teacher at Laguna Elementary School in Scottsdale, will purchase new furniture and sensory items for his classroom.
• Bobby Kelley, a K-12th grade general education teacher at PVOnline in Scottsdale, will purchase iPads and sensory tools for his students.
• Michele Maxwell, a band teacher at Sunrise Middle School in Scottsdale, will purchase a digital drum kit for her band class.
• Lakota Mossey, an art teacher at Liberty Elementary School in Scottsdale, will purchase art supplies for her classroom.
• Lilly Tritch, a second grade general education teacher at Yavapai Elementary School in Scottsdale, will provide flexible seating and a comfortable space for her students.
• Alexandra Wampfler, a physical education teacher at Cactus Shadows High School in Scottsdale, will purchase specialized agility training equipment for his physical education class.
