Scottsdale Unified opens up kindergarten classrooms

The Scottsdale Unified School District is hosting Kindergarten Roundup gatherings for the 2024-25 school year starting next week at 15 elementary schools and three K‒8 schools. Sessions will also be in January and March 2024 for the school year that begins Aug. 5, 2024. Visit susd.org/kindergarten for the complete rundown.

"Our kindergarten experience at Scottsdale Unified is more than just the start of a child’s formal education: it lays the foundation for a lifetime of growth and curiosity," said Margaret Serna, SUSD Elementary Education Executive Director. "During these key, early years, students develop the confidence and skills that will shape them into confident, critical thinkers and lifelong learners."

Scottsdale Unified offers free, full-day kindergarten. At these Roundup events, families can meet SUSD’s state-certified kindergarten teachers and school principals as well as visit kindergarten classrooms, take a campus tour and more. Questions about enrollment, lunch options, school-day schedules and playground safety will also be answered.
