Scottsdale Society of Women Writers to host author Lynne Marie

The Scottsdale Society of Women Writers welcomes Lynne Marie, a multi-published author, to its monthly Zoom meeting scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26.

Speaker Lynne Marie,  a multi-published author who lives in south Florida, is the owner of RateYourStory.org and thepicturebookmechanic.com. She is an editor for Dancing Flamingo Press.

Among her books are Moldilocks and the Three Scares, Let’s Eat: Mealtime Around the World, and American Pie, according to a press release, inviting people to visit her at LiterallyLynneMarie.com.

Marie will speak about the art and craft of writing children’s picture books. She will discuss ways to embark upon the path, the release said, adding at the conclusion of the presentation, she will answer questions.

Scottsdale Society of Women Writers gives members access to events of interest, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers and authors in camaraderie and support, and an alliance with professionals relating to writing, publishing, and marketing.

Group goals:

  • Value all the professional women writers sharing their expertise
  • Honor all genres and all forms of professional writing
  • Attend monthly meetings to move the group and its members forward
  • Learn and share in the experiences of monthly professional speakers
  • Grow the group to a membership of active and contributing women
  • Encourage participation by members as mentors, and volunteers
  • Support and challenge each other to always be writing
  • Help members to stretch as writers and reach lofty personal goals
  • Have fun, meet trustworthy women writers, share dreams

RSVP for the monthly Zoom meeting ID and password to participate. Notify the host in advance and have any guests contact her directly. SSWW does not allow “intruders” to disrupt the meeting. Guests may visit on two occasions, before becoming a full-time member.

The link and information with the ID and password will be  sent a couple times in advance and should be handy before the meeting that starts promptly at 6 p.m. Check-in to Zoom by 5:50 p.m., which allows the host time to setup before the meeting begins, time to chat with members and guests.
