Scottsdale resident Payne becomes Arizona’s Lee & Associates Division principal

Posted

Lee & Associates has announced the promotion of Scottsdale resident Brian Payne to principal.

Payne is an industrial agent who specializes in warehouse and manufacturing buildings, contractor yards, and flex properties, according to a press release.

In 2016, he joined Lee & Associates — specializes in commercial brokerage services of industrial, office, investment, multifamily, retail, and land — as a runner under veteran principals in the firm’s Industrial Division, guided by Chris McClurg and Ken McQueen.

Promoted to an associate in May of 2018, he completed the requirements to achieve principal status in less than 36 months, according to the release, adding his involvement in the sale and leasing of more than 7,000,000-square-feet of industrial space during that time.

“Brian’s strong work ethic and willingness to put in the time to grow his business has been a significant factor in his success thus far. We have no doubt that energy and drive will continue to fuel his future success,” said Lee & Associates Managing Principal Fred Darche in a prepared statement.

Payne earned a bachelor of science degree in Design, Housing, and Community Development from Arizona State University, the release said, noting his passion for industrial real estate and plans to expand his geographical expertise throughout the Valley.

“Lee’s unique platform encourages agents to work collaboratively. I am excited to continue servicing clients with other industry-leading experts here at Lee & Associates,” said Payne.

“As a principal, I look forward to helping grow our firm by mentoring future incoming agents, just as Ken and Chris did for me.”
