Scottsdale Quarter will commemorate the completion of the final phase of the shopping center with a week-long community celebration.

Boo & New is a chance to celebrate the season while exploring the newest offerings at Scottsdale Quarter with festive gatherings from Monday, Oct. 18 to Saturday, Oct. 23, according to a press release describing free family fun, live musical performances, local art, fall-themed activities, and local craft brews.

“Fall is a time to celebrate the changing season and it’s the perfect time to commemorate the newest and final section of The Quarter,” said Scottsdale Quarter General Manager Richard Hunt in a release.

“The first phase of Scottsdale Quarter began in 2008 with the goal of creating a vibrant, urban destination that brings people together to live, work and play. And we’re excited to welcome the community to celebrate the culmination of that vision.”

Guests can wander through the pumpkin patch and enjoy nightly live musical performances by local bands, the release said.

The celebration continues on Friday with the addition of live artist mural paintings and curated workshops hosted by Scottsdale Quarter tenants; guests can paint a section of a giant, paint-by-numbers art mural, designed by local artist, Lauren Lee, which will later become a permanent art installation at the property.

Festivities end on Saturday with The Quarter’s Fourth Annual Boo & Brew event with grownups treating “their taste buds with local craft brews from Huss, Walter Station and Grand Canyon breweries, while listing to live music and watching their favorite college teams in the football lounge.”

Meanwhile, a younger crowd can be entertained with oversized games, crafts, character appearances, balloon twisting and face painting, the release added.
