Scottsdale Prep hires assistant headmaster of middle school

Great Hearts Scottsdale Preparatory Academy recently announced the newest addition to its faculty with Justin Bell is taking on the role of Assistant Headmaster of Middle School.

Though a Colorado native, Mr. Bell attended Chaparral High School in Scottsdale before earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communications and Visual Media Arts at Colorado State University and Emerson College, according to a press release.

His other educational experiences included studying abroad in Wales, UK and teaching summer school in Boston.

In 2016, Mr. Bell returned to Arizona to accept a teaching position at nearby Great Hearts Veritas Preparatory Academy. At Veritas, he taught history and served as dean of students in the middle school the last three academic years. Mr. Bell was also part of the baseball coaching staff.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy is part of the Great Hearts Academies network of tuition-free public charter schools in the Valley. The school is at 16537 N. 92nd St. in Scottsdale.
