Scottsdale Police arrest 2 men connected to Valley crime spree

Posted

Two men allegedly responsible for 12 separate crimes across the Valley have been arrested by Scottsdale Police Department, officials say.

Marcos Anthony Herrera, 41, and Anthony Michael Murray, 45, were arrested for robberies, burglaries, identity theft, money laundering, credit card theft, possession of dangerous drugs and theft in Scottsdale between April and May, officials say.

Officials believe the two men are responsible for at least 12 separate crimes across the Valley.

On April 15, Scottsdale Police detectives were notified of a robbery involving a subject near a commercial building. Two incidents of burglary were committed in May, which officials say linked Herrera and Murray to a spree that was occurring throughout the Valley.

Detectives reportedly used police databases, surveillance videos and developed intelligence with other departments and agencies to track the suspects down.

On May 18, Herrera and Murray were arrested without incident by Scottsdale Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit.
