Scottsdale mother embarks with new coaching company

Scottsdale resident and mother of eight --- ranging in age from 1-25 years old --- Vanessa Baker is at the helm of a new coaching company dedicated to helping parents and their teen children effectively and positively communicate.

As an Arizona State University Honors College Graduate with a Bachelor’s in Business-Supply Chain Management and a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate, Ms. Baker has worked with many young people, according to a press release.

She’s helped them understand values such as how to make things happen, how to take ownership of their lives and how to feel proud and confident. She recently launched Vanessa Baker Mindset to further help teens, young adults and their parents find success and connection through her coaching programs and online courses.

“As a teacher and a parent myself, I have a deep and compassionate understanding of the various issues that come with the territory of raising teenagers,” Ms. Baker said in a prepared statement.

“Through my programs and mediation, I am here to guide teens to take personal responsibility, gain confidence, effectively communicate and create tangible results in all areas of their lives.”

She also coaches parents on how to work their way into their young adult or teen children’s lives through letting go of conventional parenting techniques and without the urge to seek control.

Through these methods, she encourages parents to be more effective and authentic --- thus allowing them to potentially forge deeper connections with their children, a release states.

Beginning in January 2020, Vanessa Baker Mindset is offering new courses including A Mindset Shift for Parents of Teens. She also offers phone consultations, one-hour coaching sessions and dedicated events such as Creating Connections with Your Teens for parents.
