The site will also stop publishing political commentary in any markets while Thornton is Borowsky’s chief of staff, according to an email from Thornton to Arizona Digital Free Press’ readers.
Thornton also spent just short of 17 years as a journalist and editor for Independent Newsmedia.
Prior to that, Thornton earned a bachelor’s in airway management and operation from Kansas State University and a bachelor’s in English language and literature/letters from Arizona State University.
