Artist Kristin Bauer will perform “spin-thron,” a new interdisciplinary performance art piece from 6 to 9 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 25, at De Sarthe Gallery, 7507 E. McDonald Dr., Scottsdale.
A partnership with the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and NextGen, the Vincent de Sarthe exhibit offers a new approach to collecting and viewing art, according to a press release, noting the pioneering platform for “boundary-pushing contemporary art from Asia.”
The gallery has had an influential international presence in Modern and Post-war art since its establishment. Vincent de Sarthe opened an event art space that balances a passion for collecting along with an insight to the art market and its trends.
The space is a continuation of De Sarthe Hong Kong’s internationally recognized artists program plus its growing roster of artists worldwide, according to the release. The space does not function with set exhibitions but implements a free form style of curation allowing it to form and grow organically.
