Scottsdale executives Reinke, Levine join digital insurance firm RaisinBread

Posted

Scottsdale-based, RaisinBread, a full-service online insurance marketplace for business owners has appointed Scottsdale executives Doreen Reinke as chief operating officer and Ken Levine as chief financial officer.

Ms. Reinke and Mr. Levine are joining RaisinBread each with over 20 years of senior management experience mostly recently as vice president of operations and chief financial officer with Scottsdale-based Nationwide Excess and Surplus/Specialty Lines, respectively.

Prior to joining Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Ms. Reinke held claim leadership positions with USF&G and Auto Owners Insurance Company. Mr. Levine also served as chief actuary for Nationwide’s Excess and Surplus/Specialty Lines and held actuarial roles with Republic Insurance, Golf Insurance and Insurance Services Offices, according to a press release.

Ms. Reinke has been recognized by Insurance Business America for her personal and professional achievements in changing the face of the insurance industry, the press release stated. She has been nationally and locally honored for her work in promoting civil and human rights.

Currently, Ms. Reinke serves as chair of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a member of Scottsdale Community College President’s Advisory Council and Scottsdale Leadership’s Advisory Council.

“I am excited to join the RaisinBread team,” said Ms. Reinke. “I believe RaisinBread’s business model is at the forefront of changing the way businesses buy insurance, offering innovative digital services and solutions.”

Mr. Levine is an active volunteer in the community and his profession. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Valley of the Sun United Way and is a lifetime member for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale. He is an active supporter of Arizona State University’s Actuarial degree program where he serves on the Industry Advisory Board and teaches in the program.

Mr. Levine endowed a scholarship at ASU to support non-traditional students in their pursuit of an actuarial degree.

“The insurance marketplace is ready for the simplicity and transparency that RaisinBread is bringing to the property and casualty insurance purchasing process. Combining this with the experience and expertise of the leaders made my decision to join RaisinBread very easy — and very exciting!” said Mr. Levine.

“Doreen and Ken bring a wealth of insurance and business expertise to RaisinBread that will immediately contribute to the growth and evolution of the company,” said Anthony Washington, co-founder and CEO, in a prepared statement. “Doreen’s extensive background in building and running company Operations made it clear she is the right person for the job. Ken’s strategic thinking and complex analytical capabilities will be a welcomed addition to the RaisinBread team.”
