A Scottsdale doughnut shop is getting a boost in its revenue courtesy of one of the country's largest tennis shoe makers.
California-based Vans is working with Chin Up Donuts in a effort to help the shop market itself with a custom set of shoes and t-shirt. It's an effort through the company's "Foot the Bill" initiatve.
Chin Up founder Alex McEntire, who opened up the shop in November 2020, partnered with Vans on a specialty design for the shoes and shirt, with net proceeds going toward new custom design packaging for Chin Up Donuts and a mural from a local artist inside the shop at 7325 E. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Suite 103.
“I am excited to share the groovy Chin Up merch that was developed with the help of Vans,” said Ms. McEntire. “An important element to the Chin Up Donut experience is our retro-style shop and branding. I’m so grateful for Vans’ support of my small woman owned business during this challenging time for many local restaurants.”
The products will be available until May 11 and can be found here. The custom shoes, of which only 1,000 will be made, cost $95. The shirt costs $30.
Vans' Foot the Bill initiative was created to help small businesses earn money. Each business selected will help design their shoes and shirt. The custom shoes and shirt will be available only until the limited selection runs out or the time on the deal expires.
