Scottsdale Community Bank Associate Vice President, Loan Portfolio and Credit Department Manager Sayf Mahbuba is headed to Baghdad, Iraq, to help re-establish the country’s banking system.
Mahbuba worked at Scottsdale Community Bank for 36 months after graduating college. He earned multiple promotions and accolades and was named the bank’s youngest-ever associate vice president and banking officer. He also served on a number of bank committees while he was there.
Mahbuba plans to return to Iraq, where his father is active in politics. He aims to work with financial institutions in and around Baghdad to broaden economic opportunities, launch new lending programs, and implement economic reforms in a region still recovering from years of conflict and instability.
