Scottsdale-based Plexus visits USS Arizona Memorial to pay tribute

Posted

A Scottsdale-based health and wellness company focused on health and happiness, paid tribute to veterans by visiting the USS Arizona Memorial Gardens on Veteran’s Day.

During the event, Plexus Worldwide employees learned about the site and the vessel, then were invited to explore the memorial to reflect and appreciate the nation’s veteran heroes who were aboard the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

“As Americans, we should be grateful and humbled for those who serve our country to provide us the freedom we have today, and one way is to learn about their experiences at the memorial,” said Mary Beth Reisinger, chief human resources officer at Plexus Worldwide.

“As a founding sponsor of the USS Arizona Memorial Gardens, Plexus encourages employees, residents, and visitors to take in the beauty of this place, and to continuously remember memories of our veterans.”

Located east of Pima Road, between east Indian Bend Road and east Via de Ventura, USS Arizona Memorial Gardens spans five acres, and features a piece of the original boathouse of the USS Arizona and the Relic Room. The Relic Room features a video that shares the journey of the site’s creation, copies of hand-drawn boat design documents, and segments of the crates that carried the salvaged artifacts from Hawaii to California.

Plexus Worldwide is headquartered in the Pima Center Parkway in Scottsdale, near the Memorial Gardens and has a large presence in the Valley, providing nearly 400 jobs in the local community to support more than 700,000 Ambassadors across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
