Bonnie Engstrom, a Scottsdale-based author, will be giving a book signing in Fry’s Grocery Store at 90th Street and Shea Road on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m.

Engstrom is a multi-published author of women’s fiction and romance with Winged Publications.

As explained in a press release, many of Engstrom’s books are set locally in Scottsdale making them fun for residents to explore and even check out addresses and venues. She also features existing people whom readers might recognize.

Her books include “The Candy Cane Series,” which is set in Newport Beach, Calif., and follows seven women who overcome abuse, stalking, death, deception, abandonment, alcoholism, breast cancer and medical anomalies.

Engstrom also has a Christmas literary collection that includes “The Christmas Breadbox” and “Her Secret Santa” — both set in Scottsdale — along with “Restoring Love at Christmastime” and “Noelle’s Christmas Wedding.”

The Christmas Collection will be on sale at a special pre-holiday price packaged in a Santa gift bag during the signing.

The release stated that she also has books that feature dogs as the heroes (two of whom are her own “fur babies”). Customers who buy three dog-inspired stories at the signing will receive a special treat for their pet at home.

“The Candy Cane Girls Series” of nine books will be available for a pre-Christmas sale wrapped in special holiday décor for picture-perfect gift giving.
