Realtors association supports Scottsdale candidates

The Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors Candidate Review Committee recently concluded a secondary round of interviews with candidates running for public office in the Scottsdale general election.

“We have endorsed a strong group of candidates who will fight for issues important to Scottsdale and our members’ clients,” said Jeff Dial, 2020 chair of SAAR’s Candidate Review Committee.

Endorsements were then formally approved by the association’s board of directors, according to a press release.

“We relied on a diverse group of members to interview and evaluate candidates,” said Louis McCall, SAAR’s 2020 president-elect. “The committee felt these candidates were most aligned with the goals of our industry, our members and our community.”

City of Scottsdale candidate endorsements went to Lisa Borowsky (mayor); Tammy Caputi, Becca Linnig and John Little (City Council).

These “Realtor Champions” were chosen based on their experience, knowledge base, voting record, vision, goals and alignment with SAAR’s Public Policy Statement — which prioritizes private property rights and supports a positive environment for homeownership.

SAAR encourages everyone to vote on Nov. 3, the press release stated.

The last day to register to vote is at midnight on Oct. 5; the first day to cast an early ballot is Oct. 7. The last day to request an early ballot to be mailed is Oct. 23, at 5 p.m.; the last day to mail back a ballot is Oct. 28. Weekend voting is available on Oct. 24.
