Thank goodness they are scrapping the Dynamite – Scottsdale Road roundabout. Roundabouts are fine for small areas. Remember the I-17 and Happy Valley roundabout? How much did the state waste before they replaced it with the correct roadway? A Dynamite Road roundabout would have been dangerous.

A roundabout would not have been the answer

A roundabout is not the answer to Dynamite and Scottsdale. It is only an answer for those who do not drive there. You can’t have a 50 mph speed limit and a roundabout. This is a highway, turn lanes and lights to accommodate turn lanes in all directions is a better idea.
Scrap the roundabout. Those who drive it every day have been trying to find ways to avoid the intersection since it was posted. A roundabout does not move the volume of traffic in an efficient manner.
From a place that has eight-lane roundabouts. They are horrible.
