PROShred Arizona raises over $5,500 for Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue

Posted

PROShred Arizona recently raised $5,500 for Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue during their charity document shredding event in Scottsdale.

The charity event allowed Valley residents to securely dispose of a banker’s box of documents in exchange for a $5 to $10-dollar donation, according to a press release, noting the money donated will be used by the Labrador rescue to pay for needed medical procedures for at risk animals.

PROShred Arizona Owner Patty Caradonna stated it was an honor to run their sixth charity event for the Labrador rescue and she looks forward to helping the organization raise money to help needy animals.

“I always pencil in this event because the Labrador rescue does so much good work providing care for needy animals,” said Ms. Caradonna in a prepared statement. “They rely on donations to keep their great work going and we are thrilled to help them raise money every year.”

President of Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue Robin Garrett said fundraising is essential to the rescue’s operation and companies such as PROShred Arizona are valuable partners, the release said.

“This is the sixth year Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue has worked with PROShred Arizona to hold an annual Shred A Thon fundraiser. We wanted to offer a service to the public while raising money to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome displaced Labrador retrievers.” said Ms. Garrett in a prepared statement.

“We are a 100% volunteer ran rescue and our fundraising events are essential for our operation. DLRR works with PROShred Arizona each year because of their commitment to protect private data, professionalism, timeliness, and support of our rescue through promotion of the event. Each year this event grows and becomes more successful. We look forward to hosting this event every year with PROShred Arizona.”

The event was also environmentally-friendly with PROShred Arizona shredding over five tons of paper, 100% of which will be recycled.
