Scottsdale Police Department officers responded to a delayed assault that involved a stabbing in the early morning hours Nov. 19.

At 1:45 a.m. Nov. 19, Scottsdale officers responded to a delayed assault at 7550 E. Earll Drive, according to police officials.

The adult male victim related that a known male suspect had gained access to his residence and physically assaulted him.

A third-party male subject came to the aid of the victim and stabbed the suspect several times with a knife, police say.

The suspect then fled the residence on foot; a short time later, officers located the suspect walking in the area and detained him.

The suspect and the victim were each taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police department officials say they are in the early stages of this investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
