Scottsdale Police Department has charged Riot House for failing to enforce safety and health policies, and officials are investigating other Old Town businesses.
Riot House was charged on June 24 for violating Gov. Doug Ducey’s Executive Orders, which are intended to control the spread of COVID-19 while allowing restaurants to remain open to the public. The establishment was charged with a class one misdemeanor, police say.
The Scottsdale Police Department observed staff and patrons at this establishment not practicing physical distancing, not wearing face coverings, and not complying with their plan, officials say.
Several other Old Town Scottsdale businesses are under investigation and may also be charged for similar violations, according to police officials.
