Picazzo’s announces ‘Raising for Rett’ fundraising campaign in October

October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month and Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen announces its ongoing “Raising for Rett” fundraising campaign. The goal, according to Picazzo’s Managing Partner Chris Disney, is to raise both funds and awareness for this extremely rare syndrome, which his own three-year-old daughter Collyns was diagnosed with just last year.

Picazzo’s will donate $1 for every dessert sold at Picazzo’s locations in Sedona, Scottsdale, Tempe, Paradise Valley, Arrowhead and Gilbert for the entire month.

The restaurants will also use purple linens and servers will wear and sell purple Rett Syndrome bracelets. Information will be available for customers to learn about Rett Syndrome, which combines the symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, epilepsy and anxiety disorder.

Donations can also be made directly to Picazzo’s ‘Raising for Rett’ campaign at rettgive.org/campaigns/supporting-rett-syndrome-research.
