Palmer Development Group of Scottsdale has broken ground on its mixed-use project called The Edge, which is located on the northeast corner of 90th Street and Loop 101.
The new development will feature office and retail space at the northern gateway of the Loop 101 Corridor, according to a press release, describing the 15-acre parcel to include a four-story, 212,000-square-foot Class A office building designed to match the desert terrain color tones.
Butler Design Group worked to create blends of texture and colors, as well as pattern references reflective of the Pima and Maricopa heritage, the release said, adding that the office portion is slated for completion in March 2021.
“We view this landmark site as the crown jewel of the Talking Stick Entertainment and Business Corridor and the gateway to greater Scottsdale,” said Daniel Lupien, Palmer Development Group managing partner/founder, in a prepared statement.
“The highly visible location will provide unmatched branding opportunities and access to one of the strongest demographics in the country.”
The Edge will also include 22,000 square feet of retail in-line shop space and two pad locations, according to the release.
While initial occupancy of retail space is planned for December of this year, multiple retailers have already committed to occupy space at The Edge, noted the release.
“The Edge will fulfill a growing demand in the North Scottsdale submarket for more Class A office space and retail services,” Mr. Lupien added.
