Oremland: Cieniawski will help Scottsdale Schools achieve

Posted

My vote for Julie Cieniawski is a vote for what is best for Scottsdale Unified School District.

As a 10-year colleague, at Desert Canyon Middle School, Julie’s dedication to her students, staff members, and profession was most prevalent and admirable.

As an educator, Julie’s students were a priority.

She advocated for not only the Comprehensive Gifted Program, but for the academic betterment of all students on campus.

She was a staff leader who thoughtfully listened, as issues surfaced, offering suggestions, advice, and solutions.

Julie believes in what is fair and what is right for Scottsdale’s school and family communities, creating pathways for open communication regarding district policy and decision-making.

Julie is fearless when approaching challenge and change. She pioneered a theatre program at DCMS where student ideas and input were welcomed and encouraged.

As the program director, Julie collaborated with Desert Mountain High School’s theatre department in order to advance her students to hone their skills, fostering a higher level of performance from her budding thespians.

This is what Julie does... she elevates those around her and inspires you to channel your best self.

I am a Julie fan, a Julie friend, and a Julie endorser — she’s what SUSD needs to achieve all it can become.

Editor’s Note: Cari Oremland is an employee of Scottsdale Unified School District and community member.
