Optima continues to outpace the Arizona luxury condominium market in sales velocity by eight times the average as the Scottsdale-based developer has surpassed 55 percent sold at 7180 Optima Kierland.

Nine premium penthouses will debut as an exclusive, highly-curated collection available for sale, according to a press release.

Described as the newest and most elevated high-rise condominium tower at the $500 million Optima Kierland Center, 7180 Optima Kierland has sold 113 homes since sales began in January 2019, the release said of the community noted to lead the Phoenix-metro market for sales velocity compared to other new condominium developments across the Valley.

Amidst the sales success, Optima is launching the McDowell Mountain Collection, which includes a limited selection of luxury penthouses priced from $1.1 million, the release said.

Buyers can choose from nine homes atop the pinnacle of the 12-story tower, overlooking the McDowell Mountains, with three distinct two- to three-bedroom floor plans ranging from about 1,461 to 1,509 square feet, the release said, detailing penthouses with floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

Each McDowell Mountain Collection home features an expansive private terrace adorned with lush, hanging greenery - a signature of Optima’s award-winning design aesthetic - and upgraded finishes that can be hand-selected by the buyer including European Oak wood flooring and Gieffe Cucine cabinetry, polished granite countertops, tiled terraces, upgraded lighting, 10-foot ceilings and appliances from high-end brands like Bosch and Elicia.

“With such strong buyer interest in the community, we knew we wanted to offer a collection of homes that feature a distinctive combination of space, design, and amenities,” said Optima President and Principal Architect David Hovey, Jr., AIA, in a prepared statement.

“Inspired by the surrounding McDowell Mountains, these penthouse homes feature a selection of finishes designed to highlight the desert setting. We aim to set the bar for penthouse living here in Arizona.”

Aside from the views, one of the “strongest draws for buyers at 7180 Optima Kierland, has been the array of world-class amenities that are unrivaled in the market,” the release said, noting amenities ranging from a rooftop Skydeck to a basketball/pickle ball and squash courts and more.
