A new Huntington Learning Center, at 7609 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, opens to students needing support or enrichment in mathematics, reading, study skills, test preparation, and other areas of academic achievement.

A grand opening will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, June 4 for the site that will not only provide on-site instruction, but Huntington will work with local schools to ensure area educators and guidance counselors are aware of services offered to high-achieving and struggling students.

The center will also offer courses to help students prepare for the ACT and SAT. Personal instruction will be offered by certified teachers to North Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Cave Creek students from kindergarten through 12th grade, according to a press release.

“The entire team of educators at the North Scottsdale Huntington Learning Center is dedicated to helping every one of our students unlock his or her full potential for academic achievement,” stated Frank Pyles, owner/ Huntington Learning director of the new in North Scottsdale site.

“With personalized instruction targeted to each student’s learning needs, we help students build the confidence, knowledge, and skills that are vital for success in school. We want all of our students to be prepared for the demands of higher education and the workforce, and we’re determined to work in partnership with local parents and educators to enhance what we offer to every student who enrolls in our program.”

Pyles noted how the pandemic impacted his children, their friends, and their peers. He recognized many students lost an entire year or more of school and left his role as a financial advisor to open a Huntington Learning Center for “children in the community to get back on track.”

He chose Huntington as his partner for its 45-year track record of success, the release said, adding before embarking on this new venture, he spent more than 20 years in the financial industry with firms like CAPTRUST and Vanguard.
