National Fitness Hall of Fame welcomes Scottsdale business owner

Fitness guru and 2023 National Fitness Hall of Fame inductee Bill Crawford has been a leader and visionary in fitness since 1977.

Before his induction into the National Fitness Hall of Fame, Crawford was a staunch supporter of “The Hall” and after his induction in 2012, served as its chairman of the board from 2014-17, a press release stated.

Crawford has provided fitness training to thousands of clients and is a recognized fitness columnist, consultant, lecturer and educator. His fitness program with the U.S. Navy led to the development of his iPhone app Gym-To-Go and GymToGo.com.

According to the release, Crawford has also trained major sports teams, athletes and Hollywood celebrities and developed the careers of many fitness professionals. Crawford has owned and developed fitness centers around the world and since 1997, has operated his gym “Basic Training” in Scottsdale with his wife Debbie.

The release stated that the NFHOF’s Lifetime Achievement Award is a great honor bestowed on an individual and Crawford will be forever remembered as being one of the greatest fitness professionals who have ever lived.
