The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office needs help identifying the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident early Monday morning in Scottsdale.

The accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Lone Mountain Road and 68th Street.

A man who had been on a bicycle that was struck by a vehicle was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He is in stable condition, authorities said Monday night.

The bicycle was found near 76th Street and Lone Mountain Road approximately 1 mile from the crash site.

It appears, according to MCSO, the driver fled the scene with the bicycle still attached to the vehicle.

With no suspect or vehicle information available, MCSO asks  anyone with information to call 602-876-1011 and reference report IR22-024548.
