The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, Len Marcisz, Legacy Steward and Marine Corps Veteran are inviting the public to attend a special Veterans Day hike followed by a ceremony honoring veterans.

The hike is slated to begin at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at Lost Dog Wash Trailhead. The hike will last around two and a half hours and will cover approximately three miles of gently rolling terrain with an elevation gain of about 250 feet, a press release states.

The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy empowers awareness and actualizes global preservation through science, education, and stewardship.

Through a unique partnership with the City of Scottsdale and the dedication of more than 600 volunteer stewards we care for and study the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and Sonoran Desert.
