Marcellino Ristorante offers Wednesday pasta promotion

Posted

Marcellino Ristorante will hold “Pas-tahhh-bulous Wednesdays” promotion throughout November.

Guests ordering one of Chef Marcellino Verzino’s hand-crafted pasta dishes on Wednesday nights can enter to win a 16-ounce jar of his fresh Italian sauce to enjoy at home plus a signed copy of the new Phoenix Cooks cookbook, according to a press release, noting that Cacio e Pepe will be presented among favorites.

“Chef Marcellino’s fresh pasta dishes soothe the soul with intoxicating aromas and scrumptious flavors,” said the chef’s wife, Sima Verzino in a prepared statement.

“Fall is the perfect season to indulge in Chef’s delectable pasta dishes, and we created ‘Pas-tahhh-bulous Wednesdays’ as a fun way to bump up the mid-week and highlight Chef’s exceptional pastas.”

In addition to daily pasta specials, the restaurant offers six pasta dishes every night, ranging from “Scialatielli alle Vongole,” featuring pasta sautéed with Manila clams, olive oil, garlic, white wine and red pepper flakes to the popular “Gnocchi Sorrentina.”

Sometimes referred to as the “King of Comfort Food,” Gnocchi are a classic part of Italian cuisine, the release said.

At the end of November, a random winner from the “Pas-tahhh-bulous Wednesdays” raffle will be chosen to receive a signed copy of the new Phoenix Cooks cookbook, featuring Mr. Marcellino among 98 chefs in the 2020 Phoenix Cooks cookbook written by food writer, Christina Barrueta.

Marcellino Ristorante is offering a limited amount of cookbooks for $25, noted the release.

With stringent CDC policies followed, the Old Town Scottsdale restaurant offers take-out service Tuesday through Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., which includes the restaurant’s complete dinner menu with curbside pick-up available.

All take-out orders include a complimentary bag of biscotti, and guests also receive 20% off bottles of premier Italian wine and beer.

Orders can be placed from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 480-990-9500.
