Landmark Theatres, an established national theater chain, will open its doors to the public on Thursday, Dec. 16, at the site of the former iPic Theater at Scottsdale Quarter.

Landmark’s Scottsdale Quarter theater, at 15257 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 230, marks the company’s first Arizona location, according to a press release.

“We are very excited to extend our brand into the Phoenix area, in a beautifully designed luxury theatre in an upscale center,” says president, Paul Serwitz, in a press release. “Scottsdale exudes a healthy, upbeat and positive lifestyle where families are celebrated. We’re excited to be part of this community.”

Landmark Theatres will hold an open house beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 with a reception in the lobby, offering light hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks for the public, according to the release.

Spiderman will be available for photos with guests to help promote "Spider-Man – No Way Home." To help create the vibe for "Nightmare Alley," a tarot card reader will also be on hand.

Guests also can be entered to win "Sing 2" drawing prizes. Guests are invited to enjoy a free movie screening, along with complimentary popcorn at 7:30 p.m., and must RSVP through Eventbrite. Invitations close at 400 guests.

The renovated theater will feature eight screens with recliners and a new concession stand. In addition to traditional concessions, a selection of gourmet items will be offered.

For guests who want to enjoy a craft cocktail or glass of wine, Landmark’s Scottsdale Quarter will have a full-service bar and lounge with comfortable seating for date nights or social gatherings.

The Landmark at Scottsdale Quarter is described as the “ideal sophisticated setting for a new community of movie enthusiasts to engage with a brand that elevates the cinema experience and is known for its wide-ranging programming and discerning audience.”

Opening films will include "West Side Story," "Spider-Man - No Way Home," and "Nightmare Alley." Arriving before Christmas will be "Sing 2" and "Matrix Resurrections," the release added.
