Jabz Boxing expands leadership with addition of Albertse

Jabz Boxing has announced the appointment of Bertus Albertse as its brand president to foster relationships between the brand and franchisees, as well as expand the concept to new markets.

Albertse, according to a press release, is a lifelong athlete and serial entrepreneur with 15-years experience in the health and fitness industry that began in his home of South Africa.

Before joining Jabz, he founded an award-winning international fitness franchise system with 5 Master Franchises and recently developed a gourmet junk food franchise.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bert to the Jabz family. He brings an impressive background and skillset to the new role -- a passion for people and love of fitness, a strong spirit of cooperation, a background in franchise sales and marketing, and a professional career in boutique fitness franchise systems,” said Danielle Scott, Partner, Brand Operations and Development with ZGrowth Partners, the parent company of Jabz, in a prepared statement.

Based in Scottsdale, Jabz is described as a high intensity, results-driven workout, with a “strong sense of community,” the release said.

Earlier this year, Jabz Boxing announced a rebranding with a modernized look and revamped messaging, and the addition of Albertse gives Jabz additional leadership and brand power as it prepares to open new locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, and Texas.

“Jabz is poised to become a competitive market leading brand in the boxercise industry with a truly unique approach to a fun and holistic workout in a highly supportive environment,” said Albertse in a prepared statement.

“I look forward to empowering our team, building the relationships we need to succeed and consistently adding value to the experience of members, franchise owners, and the brand as a whole.”
