Hotel Valley Ho gives back to furloughed employees

Scottsdale-based Hotel Valley Ho is putting on a donation-based car wash Saturday, May 16, to raise funds for its furloughed employees.

As long as the pandemic is in full effect, Hotel Valley Ho is providing care packages for its employees that have been on temporary furlough due to most areas on the property being closed.

These packages include essential items ranging from produce to snacks, meat, and toilet paper.

For Mother’s Day, General Manager Ronen Aviram and the Hotel Valley Ho team put together chef-prepared meals for all 18 families that are currently staying with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona.

The meal packages included everything from fresh-baked scones to short ribs, parfaits, and more. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona provides a home away from home for families traveling for medical care for their seriously ill or injured children.

Hotel Valley Ho has been a longtime supporter of the reputable foundation by adopting a room at their facility and by providing dinners for the families and supplies for the organization.

This Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Hotel Valley Ho team will be putting on a donation-based car wash in the Sands parking lot where all donations will go towards the fund for the hotel’s furloughed employees.

ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho will be providing a boozy brunch package to-go, so guests can pick-up their brunch order and stop by the car wash all in one trip.

As a locally-owned independent hotel, Hotel Valley Ho is actively finding new ways to provide support while navigating through the Coronavirus.

Donations are also available online through a GoFundMe page, gofundme.com/f/hotel-valley-ho-team-members-essential-needs-fund.

Hotel Valley Ho is located at 6850 E. Main Street, Scottsdale.
