HopeKids families get Prime Day shopping spree at Scottsdale store

Posted

The Amazon 4-star store in Scottsdale Fashion Square invited five children and their families from HopeKids Arizona for a Prime Day shopping spree at the store.

The families, all of whom have a child with cancer or other life-threatening medical condition, shopped for Prime Day deals from the store’s selection of toys, games, electronics and more, according to a press release.

Amazon 4-star employee, Lisa Frazier and HopeKids Family and Community Manager Andrea Lewis detailed the partnership during the June 22 shopping spree at 7014 E. Camelback Road in Scottsdale.

“At HopeKids, we believe that hope is powerful medicine and that’s really what these kids need. Amazon 4-star store here at Scottsdale Fashion Square has been so incredibly generous and is helping us give these kids a bit of hope today. They provided five of our HopeKids families with a gift card to shop and buy whatever they want, and our families are so excited,” said Lewis in a prepared statement.

Additionally, each family received a new Amazon Echo Show 5 Kids Edition that was released on June 9, and the HopeKids organization got donated toys and games for its upcoming summer program, as well as books for its Moms Book Club, the release said.

“We’re honored to welcome our friends at HopeKids Arizona into our store today for a Prime Day shopping spree benefitting some very deserving local kiddos and their families,” said Lisa Frazier, Amazon 4-star employee, in a prepared statement.

“So many families in Arizona rely on HopeKids during their most difficult days, and we’re thrilled to be able to support their mission to restore hope and transform the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions here in our community.”

The Amazon 4-star in Scottsdale Fashion Square opened last year. Everything in-store is rated 4 stars and above by customers, a top seller, or is new and trending on Amazon.com, noted the release.

HopeKids Arizona provides ongoing events, activities and community support for families with a child who has cancer or some other life-¬threatening medical condition.
