Harkins: SUSD schools are one of the pillars of our city

Posted

No one appreciates the role quality schools play in Scottsdale more than the business community. We know firsthand that Scottsdale Unified School District schools not only educate our children but are also one of the pillars of our city that contribute to the strength of our economy.

That is why we encourage everyone, including all our friends and colleagues in the business community, to vote yes on the SUSD Maintenance and Operations (M&O) override.

SUSD is one of the top school districts in Arizona. Our district has consistently earned an “A” rating from the state, and SUSD schools have repeatedly received national recognition for academics and student performance. The funds from the M&O override are necessary to continue fine arts programs at every grade level, technology upgrades and support, all-day kindergarten and valuable professional development for our exceptional educators.

As one of the largest employers of SUSD students and alums, Harkins Theatres relies on the quality of Scottsdale schools to provide a well-educated and diverse workforce. Harkins is proud to have worked with Scottsdale schools to achieve great things for decades. We look forward to a continued partnership in the years to come.

Please join us to renew our investment in SUSD schools and students by voting yes on the SUSD M&O override in November.
