Glick: John Little supports small businesses

Posted

I’ve known John for over two decades. During that time I have come to appreciate John’s deep commitment to small business.

He has been, and continues to be, a strong advocate for supporting local businesses, which account for about 80% of the jobs in Scottsdale.

Companies employing fewer than 50 employees are not just the backbone of Scottsdale’s economy, they are the backbone of our community. My company has been doing business in Scottsdale and the Valley for over 25 years.

When we did our first big event in Scottsdale it was Scottsdale Fashion Week at the Waterfront. Needless to say, staging a full runway fashion show and lifestyle event on Marshall Way had never been done before and we really needed someone at City Hall who understood business and special events.

Most importantly, we needed someone who understood small business and the old adage “time is money.”

John was amazing and still is. He “gets it!”

We went on to increase our annual revenue and activity in Scottsdale and have grown our bottom line and created new jobs and events that improve Scottsdale’s revenue. John knows how to create win/win outcomes and that is just one of his gifts.

He is a good listener. He is generous with his time and even when he says “no” you never come away feeling defeated.

He brings honesty and professionalism to every business deal. I can’t imagine anyone better suited for public office than John.
