Fratelli La Bufala makes Arizona debut with new Scottsdale location

From Campania, Italy comes authentic Neapolitan pizza

Posted

A piece of Italy has arrived in the heart of Scottsdale, with Fratelli La Bufala making the Arizona debut of its second U.S. location, now open at 7300 N. Via Paseo del Sur, suite B at The Grove.

Fratelli La Bufala, hailing from Southern Italy in Campania, learned the art of producing their most delicious DOP Mozzarella di Bufala from their father and have been in business since 2003, creating a brand, acclaimed and represented, with over 70 restaurant locations globally, according to a press release.

Locations include Naples, Milan, Dubai, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, and London, with their first U.S. location in Miami, Florida.

This recently introduced location in Scottsdale expands the initial Fratelli La Bufala concept into a first-class Italian Ristorante e Pizzeria, complete with a full dining room, hand-crafted cocktail bar, and patio.

The Fratelli La Bufala menu, based on the authenticity of products and traditional Neapolitan cuisine, has been designed with high-quality ingredients imported daily from Italy, such as water buffalo meat and mozzarella, with a strong accent on the Neapolitan tradition and authentic Neapolitan pizza.

“With Scottsdale being an epicenter for massive culinary growth, it was such a natural choice for us to bring both the traditions and experiences of Naples to our customers locally in Arizona to enjoy and visitors alike, not just a meal,” said Fabio Sodano of Fratelli La Bufala Scottsdale. “Our values always with us and we never forget our origins first and foremost, and that we are pizza makers in this world, with the intention of creating the best experiences for our guests and a warm, easy-going atmosphere and delicious food.”

The 4,200 square foot restaurant welcomes Campania tradition throughout this new location that seats 160, giving visibility to guests of the signature wood-burning oven where they can watch their pizzas being masterfully prepared. The restaurant’s center also features a mozzarella high table, similar to that of a traditional Italian deli, the press release stated.

Fratelli La Bufala invites guests to try main menu items including Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, homemade ricotta gnocchi, Grass Fed Angus Beef “Arizona Burger,” Parmigiana in Carrozza, deep fried eggplant parmigiana ball served with tomato sauce, and fresh basil, Cannoli, crispy wafers filled with ricotta cheese and dark chocolate and pistachio and almonds and Croccantino Caprese, couscous deep fried fior di latte mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and EVOO served on a bed of arugula.

An appetizer to share is the Il Tagliere, which includes the chef’s selection of imported cold meat and cheese, served with fig jam, olives, giardiniera, and homemade pizza bread cooked in the wood oven.

Guests can enjoy lunch, happy hour, and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday, with vegetarian, gluten-free, and kids’ pizza and pasta menu options also available.

Happy hour is available at the bar only, 3-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with house red and white wines, the Fratelli La Bufala Espresso Martini and Luna Rossa, plus bites like family-inspired mini pizza calzone, calamari fritti, and mini burgers.
