Four Seasons in Scottsdale to hit sales block
Reports show resort part of $1.3B portfolio sale
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is likely to hit the sales block as part of a potential $1.3 billion deal.
The resort's Chinese owner, Daija Insurance Group Co. is believed to be putting the Arizona property along with a Four Seasons in Jackson Hole Wyoming and the Montage in Laguna Beach, California, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Bloomberg reported in June the three hotels could be hitting the market after the company tried unsuccessfully to unload a 15-property portfolio that included all three above. That deal fell through in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic wrecked travel.
The Four Seasons in the Troon North community is on the site of the former Crescent Moon Ranch, built for cereal heiress Lois Kellogg Maury, who used the property for a variety of purposes, according to the Four Seasons' history.
Kellogg sold the property in 1967 to Gordon Ingebritson until it was sold to a developer to build the Four Seasons. The resort opened in December 1999.
