Former interim Scottsdale Community College leader seeks top job at South Mountain CC

Veronica Hipolito,  who recently served as interim president at Scottsdale Community College, is among four finalists for president at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix.

Hipolito, who has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, was scheduled to participate Monday, Sept. 19, along with three other candidates, in public forums.

Hipolito is vice president of student affairs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

The other finalists are:

  • Dr. Richard Daniel, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Education Forward Arizona.
  • Dr. Tanisha M.J. Maxwell, chief student services officer at Los Medanos College.
  • Dr. Janet Ortega, interim president of South Mountain Community College.
