Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre was chosen for the 2019 Best of Scottsdale Award in the Performing Arts category by the Scottsdale Award Program. Each year, the Scottsdale Award Program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in the local community and business category, according to a press release. Local companies, enhancing the “positive image” of small business through service to its customers and the Scottsdale community, are noted for its help in making the Scottsdale area a great place to live, work and play. DST, which continues serving the community by providing an inclusive, positive place for actors to excel, according to the release, was honored to be presented with the award. “We at Desert Stages are so tremendously thankful and grateful to receive Scottsdale’s Best Performing Arts honor,” said DST owner and founder, Laurie Cullity, in a prepared statement. “It has truly been our pleasure to bring joy to our community over these past 25 seasons!” Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category.
