Scottsdale Community Partners welcomes Denny Brown to their team as SCP sponsorship consultant.

Mr. Brown’s main responsibility will be to help bring awareness to the Scottsdale community on how SCP assists the city with many vital programs, according to a press release.

“I’m incredibly excited about working with an organization that has such an awesome history of doing great things for the citizens of Scottsdale,” said Mr. Brown in a prepared statement.

He has been a longtime advocate and community volunteer in Scottsdale. Mr. Brown served on the Scottsdale Human Services Committee from January 2016 to September 2020.

He was on the EVIT Foundation Board, a former member of the Arizona Foundation of Food Banks, and served as an elected member of the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board from 2011-15.

“With Denny’s impressive list of community services, we are honored to have Denny as part of the team,” said SCP President Rosemary Young Karlin. “Denny will help shine a light on SCP’s mission to provide emergency assistance to Scottsdale youth, families, and seniors who find themselves in crisis situations.”

SCP Executive Director Jenny Adams says Mr. Brown’s commitment to the community is a good fit for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

“We are fortunate to have Denny,” Ms. Adams said. “His lifelong commitment of advocating for Scottsdale’s most vulnerable residents fits beautifully with our mission of helping Scottsdale youth family and seniors in crisis. Denny has been a champion of SCP for years and we are thrilled to have him join us and help us increase our reach.”

Scottsdale Community Partners was founded in 1975 by Frances Young as Concerned Citizens for Community Health. Through monetary and in-kind donations from supporters, SCP provides emergency assistance to Scottsdale youth, families and seniors who find themselves in crisis situations.
