Platinum Living Realty, an independent luxury real estate brokerage with four offices across Arizona and Scottsdale, promoted Brittnie Douglas to chief operating officer.

As COO, Ms. Douglas will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company as well as continue to act as managing broker and lead transaction coordinator, according to a press release.

“Brittnie has been instrumental in the success and growth of Platinum Living Realty and was a key part of our rebranding effort after going independent more than a year ago,” Michelle Macklin, co-owner of Platinum Living Realty, said in a prepared statement.

“Through her constant hard work, dedication, leadership and creativity, Brittnie has created an inviting and warm culture at PLR by always going above and beyond for our agents, staff, and clients.”

In the summer of 2018, Platinum Living Realty owners and husband-and-wife team Jay and Michelle Macklin made the decision to take their growing brokerage firm independent and to separate from the national brand they had been working with for a number of years. Ms. Douglas helped strategize and roll out the rebrand and support agents through the transition.

“We expect another year of expansion in 2020, making now the perfect time to elevate Brittnie to the role of COO to help us manage and maintain our growth,” Mr. Macklin said in a prepared statement. “Brittnie is highly respected throughout our organization for her knowledge, work ethic, strategic mindset, and management skills; we’re lucky to have her part of our leadership team.”

Ms. Douglas has 15 years of experience in Arizona’s real estate industry, rising through the ranks at several real estate firms until joining Platinum Living Realty under its previous name in 2015 as managing broker. She earned her Real Estate Broker License from Mesa Community College in 2015.

Outside of real estate, Ms. Douglas says she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children as well as rooting for the Arizona Coyotes at most of their home games.

In the last year, Platinum Living Realty has been recognized as a leader in the industry by numerous media outlets, realty groups, and independent organizations, a release claims.

The brokerage has grown to over 160 real estate agents with a vast array of specialties, having recruited more than 80 new agents over the last year. Platinum Living Realty recently became a finalist for 2019 Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics and included in Real Trends’ list of Top 500 Largest Independent Brokerages.

Platinum Living Realty has also added a new office in Casa Grande, opened a kiosk at Scottsdale Fashion Square, launched a weekly radio show, and remodeled one of its north Scottsdale offices.
