The Desert Foundation Auxiliary, DFA, a 501(c)3, held its 56th New Member Cocktail Party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Musil in April.

The organization holds the cocktail party each year in the spring beginning with a receiving line of the new members and their husbands, according to a press release, describing the function for the active and associate members with their husbands to meet and get welcomed into the organization.

This year, DFA welcomed five new members to its 60 member roster, the release said.

The new members are Jen Brigham, Emily Calihan, Nydia Cardot, Angela Cervi and Nicole Cundiff. New members are presented with a long stemmed white rose along with the traditional turquoise shawl.
