Independent Newsmedia
Desert Foothills Library will feature publishing consultant, and community advocate, Patricia L. Brooks from 10 to 12 p.m. on June 23 in Cave Creek.
The library will facilitate the award-winning author’s online talk, “Advocating for Others in Memoir,” according to a press release, at no cost but registration is required at dfla.org by accesssing the calendar.
Upon registering, the online link to the class will be provided for the Zoom virtual meeting.
“Advocating for Others in Memoir,” details writing truthfully about grief, domestic violence, love addiction and recovery from alcohol, which is never easy, the release said.
Ms. Brooks, according to the release, accomplished this in three memoirs, settling her past and present as a witness and then as an advocate.
