Desert Foothills Book Festival celebrates inaugural event, June 4

It's book time!

The Desert Foothills Book Festival will hold its inaugural event from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., June 4, at the Holland Center, 34250 N. 60th Street, Scottsdale.

Browse among the selections offered by more than 50 local authors. Attendees will find romance novels, children's literature, memoirs, young adult stories and historical fiction.

In addition, USA Today Bestselling Author Karen Odden and Best Books Award Winner Dan Baldwin will give presentations on the craft and skill of writing.

Attendees will meet authors, purchase signed books, hear readings and children’s story time, bid on gift baskets and win raffle prizes.

Admission is free.

Proceeds from the festival benefit The Holland Center's Creative Kids - Tell Me a Story program.
