Close: Celebrate the 5th annual Scottsdale Home Tour Nov. 10

When we produced our first Scottsdale Home Tour five years ago, it had a specific purpose: We wanted more people to know about the wonderful things that were happening in south Scottsdale.

Back then, this area of our city was suffering from a stigma that we knew wasn’t accurate. We believed if we could persuade more people to visit here, we could change the negative narrative that was a hangover from the economic downturn of the Great Recession.

Fast forward to today. The public’s perception of south Scottsdale has shifted. Businesses are booming and home values are skyrocketing. South Scottsdale is the place to be. People, including young families, are moving here seeking a sense of “neighborhood.”

I would like to think that our home tour team has had a little something to do with the resurgence of energy in this part of our city.

So here we are, preparing to produce our fifth annual home tour. We are calling it CelebrationMOD because it is a time not only to continue celebrating south Scottsdale, but also celebrating home tour number five that’s happening this Sunday, Nov. 10.

Besides returning to the historic Town & Country and Sherwood Heights neighborhoods, this year the home tour will highlight homes in Melrose Village and Cox Heights.

The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art will also be a stop on the tour, where there will be a raffle for a specially created SMoCA Mystery Package that includes a membership to the museum.

The fifth annual Scottsdale Home Tour will once again kickoff this Sunday at Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows, 6114 N. Scottsdale Road, behind the Borgota. They will also have a raffle prize package, as well as mimosas and parfaits! Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.

Tickets for this Sunday’s home tour can be purchased at ScottsdaleHomeTours.com --- and a portion of ticket sales will be contributed to Scottsdale Fire Fighter Charities, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing help for Scottsdale residents and groups in need.
