“Golf Digest” announced its “Top 50 Teachers in America” and “Best Teachers in Arizona” list and the Boulders Golf Club PGA instructor Donald Crawley once again earned a spot on the list.

He has been consistently lauded as top instructor since 1999, according to a press release. Boulders Golf Club sits on the city limits of both Carefree and Scottsdale.

Mr. Crawley has also been named on Golf magazine’s prestigious “Top 100 Teachers in America” for 20 consecutive years.

“I am truly honored to be recognized all these years,” Mr. Crawley said in a prepared statement. “‘My Golf Simplified’ approach has helped to keep me ranked on these lists while helping golfers to consistently achieve good results. This is something that I am very proud of.”

His ranking is considered to be the industry standard for teaching excellence and includes a national golf instructor roster that combines outside academic and PGA Professional peer review.

“For 20 years, Golf Digest has produced the most comprehensive instructor rankings in the game --- anchored by peer evaluation from hundreds of elite teachers across the country,” the magazine stated. “The 2019-’20 rankings are our most ambitious yet.”

Candidates are judged on their passion for giving back to the game through one of the following: apprentice education, member continued education, research or lesson programs.

“These individuals have been selected because of their commitment to broaden the appeal of golf and are to be recognized as the golf industry’s best teachers,” the magazine states.
